Participants must book rooms directly with the hotel by email. Local Transport Airport – Hotel
The distance from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the hotel is 51 km. There are two options:

45 minutes by taxi. The price varies between taxi companies and time of day, estimated to at least NOK 600 before 5PM and NOK 800 after 5PM.
A train from the airport takes 26 minutes to Nationaltheatret railway station, from which there is a 550m walk (or taxi drive) to the hotel. The price is NOK 180 with Flytoget, but only NOK 90 at the (more crowded) NSB train.

Local Transport Hotel – Campus
From the Scandic Holberg hotel, trams run every 5 minutes (walk 20 m) and take 9 minutes to reach the campus (walk 100 m). Tickets can be bought at two kiosks/convenience stores in the square right outside the hotel and cost NOK 30. The tram is marked “Rikshospitalet” (the end stop). Disembark at “Universitetet Blindern”.

Train Transfer Oslo to Trondheim (2:05pm – 8:45pm Thursday June 16)

Participants must book rooms themselves, directly with the hotel. Except for Pensjonat Jarlen, reservations must be made before May 5 to get the favourable block rate.

Local Transport Train Station – Hotel
If you are arriving or departing by train the hotels are within walking distance through the city from the train station (Sentralstasjonen), alternatively you can catch a bus from the train station or a taxi.

Local Transport Airport – Hotel
If you are arriving or departing by plane, Trondheim airport Værnes is located 30 km outside the city. The airport bus (flybuss) runs every 10 minutes, cost 130 NOK (approx. 45 min) and will stop near all the hotels listed above. A taxi will cost about 650-770 NOK (approx. 30 min).

Local Transport Hotel – Campus
From downtown, the main bus to Gløshaugen campus is AtB bus 5 (direction Lohove, bus stop: Gløshaugen Nord). Tickets can be bought at kiosks, at ticket machines in Trondheim center, or at AtB service centers, via the Mobilett app, or via SMS to 2027. Buying a ticket on the bus requires cash (50 NOK).

Flights through Trondheim Airport
The Oslo-Trondheim connection is Europe’s 5th busiest, with 32 daily connections. SAS and Norwegian Airlines compete, and they both offer reasonable one-way tickets. Direct flights to London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Bergen (for the IAEE conference) etc.
